              Winding valley of Arcadia
                        lend to me thy innocence;
         bestow upon me thine gift
        of the harmonious wild,
               embracing thy unsoiled skies
  like a newborn babe from
                    the gods above us.
    Free me, O companion of the nymphs
            let us play the music
  that rings through each tree
                and gathers in pools
                   of starlight and divinity.
                            Pan, god of the wild,
                mine prayers are thine
                  for all the days to come;
         take pity on this worshipper
                      fold me into thine light,
              let me bask in the eternal
                        as thy loving servant.
              Gold speckled branches bowed
                   will encase the land
                 and set the legend of Arcadia
      alight with longing and wonder.
